Data-Driven Relocation, Simplified

See exactly how SettleInTallinn helps you find your perfect Tallinn neighborhood, and why our approach is different.

Relocating Blind is Stressful

When you're moving to Tallinn from another country, you're making a huge decision with incomplete information.

The typical research process:

  1. 1. Google "best neighborhoods Tallinn" → Get 5-year-old blog posts
  2. 2. Ask Reddit → Get 47 conflicting opinions
  3. 3. Look at apartments → No idea if the area is safe or convenient
  4. 4. Pick something → Hope for the best
  5. 5. Realize 3 months in → You chose wrong

The cost of choosing wrong:

  • • Breaking a lease: €1,500+ and stress
  • • Long commutes: 10+ hours/week of your life
  • • Safety concerns: Constant low-grade anxiety
  • • Wrong vibe: Feeling isolated or out of place

We built SettleInTallinn so you can make this decision with confidence.

Official Data, Not Opinions

We aggregate data from Estonian government sources that expats typically can't access (or can't read, since they're in Estonian).

Frequently Asked Questions

How current is your data?

We refresh our datasets monthly. Crime statistics update quarterly (as released by Estonian Police), real estate data updates weekly, and transit data updates whenever TLT makes changes.

Do you cover all of Tallinn?

We cover all 8 main districts and 84 subdistricts (neighborhoods). From Kesklinn to Nõmme, Lasnamäe to Pirita.

Is the tool free?

Basic neighborhood comparison is free. Premium features (detailed reports, saved comparisons, email alerts for new listings) require a subscription.

I don't speak Estonian. Can I still use this?

Absolutely. That's exactly why we built this. All data is translated and contextualized for English speakers.

How accurate are the safety scores?

Our scores are calculated directly from police-reported incident data, normalized per capita. We explain our methodology fully on the Data Sources page. They're as accurate as official statistics allow.
